A zephyr blew through the land, but this time it brought more than just dust. On a hill stood an ashen gray minx. Her chalky fur was being twirled forward, toward the valley below. Black eyes watched the tree tops dance and sway beneath her. She looked like a proud femine, but at the same time she didn't look as stuck up as most of this nature were. The vixen's tail was curled around her paws, much like a cat's did.
Silken tassels stopped their dance as the wind died down, and the sun was yet again ruled of the sky. There was no doubt in Chime's mind wether this was the neutral lands. She wasn't waiting to be claimed by anyone; She simply came. Perhaps the alpha, or alphas, would be angry with her. Chime didn't really care.

He had scented another in his lands, and Carnage was now wary. The scent was female, but still. A female wolf could be a more formidable opponent than a male, mostly because of their intelligence. He saw her a little ways off, a grey spot in the white snow. Ears back with caution, the Alpha approached the minx. "I'll ask this now. What business do you have here?" It was not said in a growl, but in a voice that demanded an answer. The black wolf stood stiff legged and straight-tailed, awaiting her reply.

That wasn't bery nice, you know. She said with the slightest of smirks, but decided she'd better answer. Just wandering. I've no pack, and just by the looks of this place I can tell it's neutral, same as me. Chime stood up, just in case he didn't believe her. Who're you? The minx watched him caustiously, her ears pricked for any sounds of movement. There was no way she'd be run out of here, and if she did she'd just go to their enemies. How ironic.

Not moving from his position, he replied, "I am the Alpha of The Milkyway Mountains." Cocking his head slightly, he asked, "What is your name, minx?" He sat back on his haunches, but his muscles were as taut as hers, awaiting what could possibly be an attack... She didn't seem to want to fight, though. He knew there would be fighting among his pack, for his Beta seemed to misunderstand why the put him in such a position so quickly. It was not because he feared him, for the black wolf feared very little. No, he thought he could trust the white male. Perhaps he was wrong...
He returned his attention back the the ash-pelted female, cursing himself mentally for letting his attention wander. Orange eyes trained on her, awaiting her next move.

Wonder what he's thinking about... For he seems totally lost in thought. Perhaps there is a wolf in this pack who finds himself better than this alpha. She shrugged off her curiosity. After all, it did kill the cat. She unwound her tail, and laid it beside her, as if to prove this to herself.
I'm Chimes. Her onyx eyes took in the fact that he was ready to fight. Slowly, and unsurely, she let herself relax a bit. Perhaps this would show him that she meant him no harm. Ears were tilted slightly to the side, but it only meant she didn't trust him. She had no reason to, after all.
Your name is? Chimes inquired after short spell of hesitation. The snow was stinging her paws; she wasn't used to it under foot for this long. Above the sun burned brightly, but it did nothing to the soft, white mass.

The black wolf, regarding her coolly with his red-amber orbs, slowly opened his maw. "Chimes, my name is Carnage." Truthfully, it was more a name for a Dark than a Neutral. And it was meant to be. His father had been Dark, and had so named him, expecting his son to follow in his footprints. However, he was sorely disappointed. The lithe black wolf did not want to have anything to do with his wretched father...
Looking at her, he noticed her discomfort in the snow. Thinking of words that would not come out wrong, he said, "If you would like to go somewhere warmer, there are caves just north of here..." He let the sentence hang in a question, cocking his ears as he awaited her answer.

Her ears twitched slightly at the suggestion of warmth. Well, I think it's a good idea. It's freezing! Many would think that with all their fur, wolves would not be cold. To a certain extent this is correct, but her nose and paws felt like they could fall off at any second. Chimes rose, and looked intently northward. She could probably find the caves on her own, but he knew this place better, or so she thought. On mountains there were sometimes parts in the snow that collapsed if you walked on them. Chimes knew this well, for one of her brothers found his fate in one.

With a last look at the femme, he nodded his head toward the hazy mountains, not so far away, but in the snow it seemed to stretch for miles. His black pelt stood apart from the year-round snow, making hunting a bit harder than it would be. But it just made him all the more skilled. His breath came out as a visible fog as he picked up a lope toward the caverns, not glancing back, for he knew she would follow.
At that pace, it took but a few minutes for Carnage to reach one of the lower caves, warm and dry at the back. It wasn't necessarily large, but it would be comfortable for the two of them.

Misty breath faded into the background as Chimes was led by Carnage to a bit more hospitality. Caves to be exact. Her long, graceful strides could fool you into thinking she was weak, but in a fight, you'd learn different. Not that you'd live to tell anyone. As they reached the caves, Chimes felt herself look around, and was about to say something snappy, when she thoguht beter of it. Carnage looked strong, and she was in no mood to throw around harsh words that could end up getting her kicked out of the lands, for she wasn't really even part of his pack, or worse.
Ah... Her breath came out in a slow steady stream of white mist. I can feel my paws unfreezing.
